Two Weeks

Yes, Blizzcon 2011 is almost here! Two weeks from today, just about now, the Opening Ceremonies will be starting. For about 4 hours prior to that, people will have been standing in line outside the convention center trying to be some of the first to get in.. Hopefully, some nice soul will let me butt in…

I’m pretty excited for this year’s Blizzcon. Seems like there are a bunch of people that haven’t gone before that are planning on being there and our meetup this year should be bigger and better than ever. I think we are supposed to hear about the new expansion for WoW and maybe they will even let us know more definitely when Diablo 3 and the next installment of Starcraft 2 is coming out.

I might even stand in line this year and play Diablo 3 (if I don’t get into the beta before it).

If you are planning on heading out to Anaheim this year for the convention or to just hang out with us, let me know here in the comments! What are you most looking forward to even if you aren’t going?

Kicked the Bucket (List)

We did things a little bit different last night. The raid leader decided he wanted us to get the Bucket List achievement. For those who don’t know what that is (and didn’t click the link to find out..), it is an achievement you get on Shannox where you take him on a “tour” of the Firelands. You have to hit different areas while you kill him and then, actually kill him. Obviously one of the first differences is that you need to kill some other bosses first and even more trash than usual. We started on Lord Rhyolith and then did Alysrazor (one shot, woot!). We cleared out a bunch more trash and then started on Shannox. It took a few times to get the timing between the dog and the boss as we moved them, but we did get him down after running him around and we all got the achievement.

That’s about all that’s going on with WoW. I also have been playing, for the past week+, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I have to say that it is a really great game. I’ve been having a blast with it and even enjoyed times when I have to redo a section because I died without a recent save. I really recommend it to anyone that likes a First-Person Stealth/Shooter/RPG.

Magic Fun Time

Ok, fine. I had no idea what to call the post today. First thing that popped into my head when I saw the screenshot here is, you guessed it, “Magic Fun Time”. Yeah, I’m strange.

Anyway, I’m not particularly sure I have much to say, but I feel like writing anyway. Yes, I’m still playing WoW. I’m mainly playing on raid nights at this point and doing the Molten Front dailies on my Druid. Those have petered out a bit. It’s pretty crazy the number of quests you have to get through daily now. I have unlocked the 2 factions that take 150 each (I think) and now have a few things that take 125 it seems. Obviously, I’m getting a little bored of them..

I haven’t been a big one for dailies as is but Blizzard did a good job with these so I’ve stuck them out for a while. I also figured I can maybe get some gear for my druid without having to get her dragged through a raid.

Speaking of raiding. We’re doing pretty well. We got to Alysrazor for the second time this past week and got her down to 90k!!! OMG.. It was heartbreaking. We are definitely getting better at it. Lord Rhyolith still gives us problems too.

In my non-WoW news, my Rift Mage is now level 49. The cap in Rift is level 50 and I’m about 25% there. We’ll have to see if I keep playing after that. I was charged now for my second month, so I guess I have to play it until that runs out at least. I’ve been enjoying the game quite a bit though.

That’s it. That is my update. Hope everyone else is having a good time.
