Oh yeah.. Mythos, my home in WoW, turned 4 years old today! I just can’t really believe that it’s been around so long.. And then again, I think, it’s only been 4 years? I took a bit of a hiatus prior to the guild getting into raiding in “classic” WoW, but got back in when TBC came out and haven’t taken much of a break since.
I am and have always been happy in the guild. We may have issues. We may have a little drama here and there, but these people are the reason I log in. The reason I haven’t leveled a horde toon past ~22. I can play the game somewhere else, with someone else, but it just doesn’t give me the same feeling of being… Home…
I just want to say to all my Mythos brethren that it’s been a great 4 years and lets make the next 4 even better!
On the “what I did last night” front… We put together a 10 man Naxx run and I got to bring Fimlys (oh my!). BM DPS did pick up to be pretty competitive again, which I am happy about. It took some getting used to the layout and the buttons again, but I did it. It was a lot of fun and we got a couple wings down without too much hassle. I even picked up a pair of boots from Noth but I am too lazy to link them..
I will not be wow-ing tonight or tomorrow night, but if I have something to talk about Monday, you’ll be the first to know.. Well, maybe the second.. third? Definitely the fourth.. I promise!
Sign up was for Ulduar. We were ready to rock it. But at 18 peeps (or so) it was just not in the cards. What did we do instead? We went to OS and Naxx. I hear you, “but.. but.. ULDUAR!”.. If you haven’t been following, we haven’t been able to down K’T on 25man.. Pretty sure we aren’t all that ready for 25man Naxx anyway even with 25, so better we try to get the bits of gear that we can glean from 25 Naxx to improve those that need it. I know my druid still needs the 7.5 helmet.
OS went pretty quickly and easily. Didn’t do any drakes, but those who didn’t already have it got the "Less is More” achievement. (Congrats guys).. Moving on to Naxx, we got the first boss down in spider well enough (we had lost a healer but gained a warlock…). Then we got to the Grand Widow.. Blech.. What should have been a pretty simple fight.. wasn’t.. So, we wiped a few times and, of course, on the “this is the last try guys” fight, we got her down. So, a few peeps got some gear, which is good and it went okay. Lots of delays here and there, hopefully we can improve on that in the future.
Oh.. And I worked on my little mage a bit… (That’s what the screenshot is from.. )
Now to the IMPORTANT STUFF! Tonight 4/23/2009, Graylo from Gray Matter will be interviewed LIVE on the Twisted Nether Blogcast. You can find the important info here. Interview is at 9:30PM pacific time. That is 12:30am eastern and, um, really really late in EU, etc.. We hope to see you all in the live chat room though! If I can find a loot card lying around and we get more than 40 people in the chat room, I’ll try to give it away!
I’ve got 15 minutes to write this post.. Wait.. 5.. Took me 10 just to write that first line.. This is not looking promising, eh?
Ok.. Last couple of days.. We did Maly on 10-man the other day and got him down. It was looking bad at first, but it really didn’t take all that much dying to get our act in gear. The necklace reward from the quest was a smidge of an upgrade so at least there was that.
Last night we went back into Ulduar. But.. Not as a 10-man raid. As a 25-man raid. We headed in and got the first boss, Flame Leviathan, down in just a few wipes.. One of the mace fragments dropped (woot!) and a couple rings and cloth wrists (I think). I also got my first Emblem of Conquest.
We moved on to the trash before XT-002. Yes, they are back.. And they are a PAIN! We wiped over and over on the first group before just calling it a night. It was pretty sad, really.. Tonight we are going to try again.. Hopefully we will have enough people.
In other news, the Twisted Nether Blogcast Episode 40 is out and about. Listen, there is some big TNB related news in there and on the website. Have a good one!
