Again with the SL

Last night I wanted to make a somewhat quick night of it. I logged in and it was decided we were going to Shadow Labyrinth. Karine (Druid) needs rep for the heroic key, so we got our 5man together and headed in. It was a big DPS fest!

Things went pretty well until we hit the first boss. For some reason we wiped twice on a boss that I don’t remember ever (at least not in recent history) wiping on at all. Finally the fight went as it should and he went down. The best part of the run was that we got 6 spirit shards for the whole thing. The next 3 bosses went down as expected (fast, fast, fast). And it was generally a quick little instance.

I won’t be able to play this weekend (probably not until Sunday) so I hope you all have a good weekend. I think the guild is going to run Kara as usual and try to get at least the first 4 bosses down again tonight.

Ramping up Heroics

I’m a little late with my post today. But… I have no excuse

Last night, as you might have guessed from the title today was a Heroic Ramparts run. This is, some say, one of the easiest Heroics.. *pbtttttt* is what I say to that! For some reason this ended up being a big pain in general. I think there were some buggy pulls and major line of site/selection issues.

Things went as things are want to do. We were having some issues that our Priest was having slowdown issues which caused us grief. We started with a group that looked like this:

Bligh (Warrior, MT)
Kezz (Mage)
Me (Hunter)
Druid (Feral, DPS, Offtank)
Priest (MH)

After we downed the first boss (finally), we swapped out the Druid for another Mage. The mage swapped to his Paladin when we got to the second boss (hoping for the pally shoulder’s that can drop from him). We wiped a couple of times because of the adds on this boss. but eventually, he went down. Comparatively, the third (last) boss in here, the dude with the dragon, etc. was pretty easy. I died, but the group went on to beat him pretty easily.

The loot wasn’t all that spectacular, unfortunately, but we got a nice chunk of rep before calling it a night. It took over 3 hours to finish the instance.

Hmm… think it is going to be a short post today. Very tired.. later all.

Steamvaulting

Last night’s festivities consisted of a double dose of Rep induced Steamvaulting. We’re looking towards Exalted in Cenarion Expedition, so SV is the place to be (or heroics I guess).

Yah.. So I switched to guns. I only had around 307 Gun skill when I did that.. I’m at 349 now I like the gun. It is much slower than my bow was, but, so far I am liking the additional Agi from this over my bow that had +int. The bow had +crit too, but the agi makes up for it a little. I’ve been enjoying it and the best part is not having to go buy the Cenarion Exepedition rep Arrows since there is no FP there. I can just fly to HH and pick up my bullets. There are also better bullets to be had from Engineering, so I might hit my buddy up for some of them for raiding.

I added a +12 scope to the gun, but only just before logging for the night, so I don’t know what kind of adjustment that will be.

The SV runs went as expected. We generally didn’t have any issues with the bosses (Died a couple of times on the first boss on the second go around [once because I DCed]). The final boss was also not much of a problem and we only wiped one time (on the second run). We had some initial issues with accidental pulls, but we straightened those out and came out on top. No spectacular drops, but we did get over 2500 rep for the 2 runs I think.
