Ok, the secret is out. Yes, it’s my birthday. I am one year older… Well, actually the difference between how old I was at 11:59pm and 12:00am was exactly the same as 11:58pm and 11:59pm, but who’s counting. The official number of the counting shall be 3!
Anyway.. thanks Bre for the.. uh… well wishing… I’m hoping it will be fun. I took the day off of work so I could maybe go to a movie or somesuch.
I am also currently working on the podcast.. yes, yes.. I’m working on it!  Hopefully it will be done sometime tonight.. Not much of a post otherwise today. Freez dinged 61. The “distance” to get to each level is SOO much higher once you reach outland.. I need to build up that rested XP..

Say goodbye, my baby! I hope this post finds you all well, because Freez is well (ugh!) on his way to “end game”! On Saturday night, he dinged the ripe old age of 60! He’s got his super speedy horse and we spent the night on Sunday in Hellfire Peninsula killing Orcs. What happened the rest of the week? Uh…
I don’t think I posted on Friday so I guess I should fill you in. So, Thursday was the continuation of Kara and it went great! We one shot Prince. We one shot Netherspite. We then went back to finish up the Maiden… And… Wiped!.. Aww, there goes our “perfect” run was heard on vent.  Ah well, we still got her down on the next attempt. (BTW, lineup was the same as the night before). We then went to pay a visit to Nightbane.. Whoo.. That is some tough cookies. We beat our heads against him a few times with the MT having trouble staying alive. Finally one of the mages, Stopum, switched out to his Tree Drood, Wickum and we smoked the bane!
 Friday was a fun night and a first for me! Kezz helped me with the Western Plaguelands quests and with the Scholomance instance which I had never been in before. We tried to 2-man it with Kezz on her mage and me on Freez (level 58 or so rogue at the time). Wasn’t going too swimmingly, so we invited another lvl 70 (Paladin Tank) and 2 more 50s (one other 58 or so and a 54, I think). So with Pally tank, Mage, Rogue, Shaman and Warlock we headed in and blew the doors off the place.. I picked up some nice gloves, but the main purpose of the run was XP and Rep which we got plenty of.
 On to Saturday.. The big 6-0 Saturday. We ran around Winterspring and then Eastern Plageulands to get to that lofty level. It took a lot of hard work and the clock chiming 4AM to get there.. But get there I did.
Sunday was when I went and got my new speedy mount and then headed into Outland with Pil and Kezz. We moved along fast, but since the difference between 60 and 61 (in fact, all levels above 60) is so much bigger than 59-60, Kezz and I still haven’t made it to 61. After we quit playin’ in Ourland, I ran over to BRD to try to level up my lockpicking.
 I got it up to 300 picking the door locks on the way into BRD and then asked a group of guildies that were actually “doing” BRD if they had room for 1 more. They had already finished many of the bosses in there, but I came in and helped out.. UNTIL 4AM! Again! OMG. I really need to stop doing that!
 So, that was my insane weekend.. Tonight will probably be more leveling for Freez and possibly some arena with Fyra since she only needs her matches for this week to get either the off-hand or gloves from PvP which are pretty awesome for balance droods. I also need to work on the podcast. It will probably be a little late this week unfortunately, since work is kicking me in the butt right now.. But there is always hope! I’ll sprechen to you later.
Um.. or is that delegation… As I said yesterday, I was “in charge” of last night’s Kara run. Whoopie! Of course, you always have to deal with the “why wasn’t I chosen to go, etc” since we have so many that sign up now. Unfortunately, it’s a 10 man instance and thus we can only bring 10 uh.. man..
So, I put together a group I felt would gear some stuff up but also make it an enjoyable experience for everyone (read “not too many wipes”). This group consisted of:
- Tanks: Warrior (“veteran”), Druid (druid was somewhat “new”)
- Healers: Druid (“veteran”), Priest (gearing up)
- DPS: 6! 2 Hunters, 2 Mages, 1 Rogue, 1 Boomkin (me)
 The group worked pretty well over all. We had a few issues (like pulling to soon, pulling too many, etc..) but in general we did well. We one shot all the bosses we tried: Attumen, Moroes, Opera (Big Bad Wolfenstein), Curator, Shade. Yeah.. We got all the way to shade.. We started at about 6pm and ended a little after 9.. 3 hours to shade (yes, skipped Maiden until tonight). I think that is pretty good for a “gearing up” group.
We had quite a few “fun” moments. Like when we pulled a few extra dancers by accident.. Or when there were 2 big robot dudes and a bunch of fishies on the way to the shade… I did get off a “Druid DI” though before I died..
 What is a “Druid DI” you ask? Well… I liken this to Divine Intervention, a Pally spell, because it performs the same task.. Keep from having to run back.. How do you do this feat of hybridness? Well, hopefully you have your battle rez up.. cuz u will need it. You just battle rez a “full” rezzer (well, at least until WotLK that doesn’t include another druid) that has died and let them know NOT TO TAKE IT YET! Once everyone wipes, they can hit accept and pop up and rez everyone! BEAUTY!
Anyway, so we also had a little hiccup when starting the Curator. Our MT was explaining to the OT where he was going to tank (since the MT was going to be the soaker) and was up there a little too long… Guess what! He pulled the boss.. WHOA! “IT’S OK! GET INTO POSITIONS. LETS DO THIS THING”.. Yeah.. LOL.. We still killed him dead.
 For the Shade, we did our normal routine which is assign classes with interrupts to interrupt his ice and fire spells. We leave the arcane alone. Especially this time, we had enough DPS to burn him down until the elementals popped way before he drank. The key is to be cognizant of what is going on and have someone call out when the “special” spells are being started. We also always run “together” back to the door on the arcane blast thingy he does. That allows the healers to be in range to heal people if they get hit or such (and be in rezzing distance if it is a wipe).
Anyway, the “newer” mage got a ton of drops from the first day which is pretty awesome as I think he might have been the least geared of all of them. I have to remember who is here this week so I can try to switch it up next week. Tonight is night 2 and I hope we do as well. We’ll be starting with a jaunt up to Chess and then the Prince. After that we will probably do Netherspite, skip Illhoof (party makeup doesn’t lend itself to that fight) and head back to the Maiden and if we have time, Nightbane.
