Actually the castle in the picture looks to me like the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff National Park.
Supposedly it is Hotel du Canada, patterned after the French Gothic design of the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.

Sounds plausable. There are striking similarities since I belive all were originally CP Hotels. Have a look at the pics of the Banff Springs hotel and you will see similarities.
